Is the new NMC CBT rule TRUE?

Read the Blog Completely. All the Queries About New NMC CBT Rules has been Answered

On 8th April 2019, Mentor Merlin updated a piece of information online that NMC has amended CBT passing score and its re-sit patterns. Many of the viewers asked us how authentic is this news as they were not able to find this on NMC’s website. NMC hasn’t updated this rule change in any of their news columns or social media. Also NMC has not sent newsletter to any of their subscribers. Many nurses and other consultants from our industry enquired with us because no one was well informed about the same.

As per the new rule from 5th April 2019 the decision as to whether a candidate passes or fails the CBT will be governed by an overall pass mark. This means now the candidate has to achieve just the overall passing mark that is 68% for adult nursing. Also from now,  candidates can also sit the CBT up to 3 times as part of one application, with a minimum of 10 days between each sitting. If you are unsuccessful after your permitted attempts, your application will close. You’ll be required to submit a new application and will not be able to sit the CBT again for a minimum of six months.
